Not everyone feels confident or comfortable when speaking in front of large groups and gatherings.  The tips below give a few ideas that you might find useful.

WHERE TO BEGIN – 10 Tips

If you are a long-time friend of the bride/groom then make some notes on how they met, funny events, something endearing. Keep it good and keep it clean.

Write down notes on cards to ensure you don’t forget anything.

Practice your speech.   Know your materials, be confident.

Look at your audience to ensure inter-action.

Keep the speech 3 – 5 minutes.

Be confident, stand up straight and don’t fidgit.

Speak slowly and clear and pause as appropriate.

Be heart-felt in your good wishes.

Give thanks to individuals, if required.

End the speech with well wishes and raise your glasses.
